Castle market quotes
"Ahh I'm waiting for trouble"
'Why should I waste my credit"
"I'll be done in a few minutes"
"Oreyt John!"
"I thought you said that what yesterday someone come"
"I'll see ya bout 2'clock then"
And that was a tenth of what I'd heard, someday I think I would have made an awesome super spy!
Doug Hazlewood
Hazlewood is a 58 year-old American comic book artist, mainly know for the ink-work on A LOT of DC comics from some of 'The Final Crisis', 'Green Arrow' 'The JSA', 'The JLA' series'. He also inked one of my favourite books 'The Flash: Blood Will Run'. The way he illustrates The Flash most comic book nerds like myself will agree it's exactly how you envision Barry Allen!

I love the colour pallet he's used for the scarlet speedster! I think it's the perfect shade! The gold boots look immaculate too!

Oh the weather outside is frightful!
Starting of my fourth visit to the Castle Market with a hot chocolate in the upstairs cafe (highly recommended! #JustSaying) can't wait to get warm and draw!
I am starting to become a pro at taking pictures without people being aware! I think a few caught on to my shenanigans though!

Castle Market!
Casual trip to Castle Market with Uni? Yeah I'm down for that!
Love walking around the Meat & Fish market! It feels like home with all this food. Really are some interesting characters!
You're not old school unless you read 'Beano' comics ;)

How I love the smell of fresh paint in the evening!
As I said I decided to turn my logo idea into a stencil!
In the first photo you can see the first stencil of my logo. I used an old bog roll, that's what I call recycling ;)!
Here in these photos you can see the various spraypaint colours I used on the stencil! I'm still feel a lil woozy from the fumes since I forgot to open a window!
These last couple of pictures are of a bigger stencil I made, I also tweaked the design a little. I'm not too certain weather I prefer it! Personally I think I'll use the other design!

Net Designs And Packaging!
I started to look at a few basic net designs to influence my ideas of what kind of packaging to make, I want to keep with the idea that "form follows function".
The first is one of the most common box/cube designs that almost everyone will be familiar with! It's simple but effective and I already have a few ideas of what to do with it!
The second one is a pyramid and although I like it, it doesn't quite fit my need, it's form stops it performing the function I need!
This is a photo if my 80 pack bulky PG tips box! Such a simple and effective box, yet it needs no to serve no other purpose it's perfect in its use! I also like how PG tips use a pyramid like tea bag, this makes their tea bag easily recognisable and more distinct when compared to others, this is brilliant design!

This last photo is a random set of packages for juice cartons! I absolutely adore it! The form follows the function, the way the cartons are shaped, like a slice of the fruit juice they contain! This again is what I call brilliant design!
just a quick prototype to get used to folding to make the playing card box!
Above is the net I will be using and below is the final design of how I want it to look!
Final logo ideas and final logo.
The first logo layout in the first photo I am not too keen on, I think it's mainly the colours and the placement of the letters!!
I'd like the 'C' to be more visible in the frame, like the second photo! Plus I love the colour scheme if purple and yellow!

This is my final logo and as you can tell again it has been slightly changed but I think for the better!
Really happy with this logo, it's simple and recognisable.
Laser Cutting Workshop
These are photos from the laser cut workshop, I quite enjoyed using the laser cutter to make the bottle! I used a laser cut machine last year and throughout college, so I'm pretty familiar with them!
It's always fun to use the laser cutter it's just a shame about the burnt edges on some of the thinner materials!

Logo Design!
Basic logo design carried on from a workshop using our initials! At first I tried focusing on the positive space of the letter, but then I decided to cut areas out and use the negative space as seen in the last photo.
The logo in the photo above seems a little to out there, I like the idea of having a shadow behind the letters but there's just something I cant put my finger on that I don't like
This second to last photo is of a few logos I find interesting as they are so easily recognizable from the iconic 'Apple' to the basic 'EA'!
The last photo is the logo I will run with, I will use it as a stencil to give it a more creative feel, plus I love working with spraypaints!

The Folding Workshop
This was the first workshop we did on this project and at the beginning I didn't find it too entertaining. Then I thought of the concept behind the session or at least what I took away from it was the ability to make what you need from what you have!
I even tried my hand at a bit of origami, making a paper crane I was quite pleased with!
